For the 50th-floor workplace at Lexington Avenue in New York City, Decca Contract provided a comprehensive collection of custom furniture designed to create a cohesive environment across private offices, shared attorney spaces, collaboration areas, and open workstations. The project included twenty-six executive offices, twenty-six double associate flex offices, three phone rooms, a custom collaboration room, and multiple configurations of custom workstations throughout the floor.

The executive offices feature custom oak casegoods incorporating a combination of fixed and height-adjustable worksurfaces, private storage, wall-mounted shelving, and integrated wardrobe components. White solid-surface tops provide a clean contrast to the book-matched oak veneer, while dark bronze powder-coated metal detailing carries consistently through the desks, shelving, and other components. Custom credenzas were designed with printer pull-outs, concealed storage, and soft-close hardware, allowing the furniture to provide significant functionality while maintaining a refined, architectural appearance.

The twenty-six double associate flex offices were developed to support a more adaptable shared office environment. These spaces incorporate custom run-off desks and height-adjustable worksurfaces with integrated storage, power, data access, and cable management. Oak veneer, white solid-surface worksurfaces, and dark bronze metal details maintain the same material language established within the executive offices, allowing the different office types to feel like part of one unified furniture program. The height-adjustable surfaces provide added flexibility for attorneys using the offices throughout the day.

A particularly distinctive element of the project is the custom wedge-shaped conference table created for the collaboration room. Rather than using a conventional rectangular meeting table, the wedge-shaped form responds to the room and creates a more dynamic setting for informal meetings and collaborative work. The table is crafted in book-matched ash veneer with a reverse-knife edge profile and black powder-coated metal base, with integrated power, USB charging, data connectivity, and microphone provisions incorporated directly into the design. A coordinating custom credenza provides concealed storage and waste management, completing the room while maintaining the clean aesthetic of the surrounding architecture.

Beyond the enclosed offices, Decca engineered several custom workstation configurations to accommodate different teams and working styles across the floor. Single- and double-person stations incorporate height-adjustable worksurfaces, book-matched ash veneer panels, white back-painted low-iron glass, integrated storage, power and cable management, and custom metal transaction surfaces and waterfall details. Larger workstation applications expand the same design vocabulary into four-, six-, and sixteen-person configurations, incorporating glass panel elements, integrated power, tackable surfaces, storage, and height-adjustable desks.

Throughout the project, a carefully coordinated palette of oak and ash veneers, white worksurfaces, low-iron glass, and dark bronze and custom powder-coated metal accents creates continuity between private and open areas. Integrated technology, concealed wire management, height-adjustable worksurfaces, custom storage, and purpose-built furniture solutions allow the workplace to remain highly functional without compromising its clean, sophisticated aesthetic.

The result is a highly tailored furniture program that balances the individual needs of attorneys and executives with the flexibility required for shared and collaborative work, demonstrating Decca Contract’s ability to translate a consistent design vision across a wide variety of custom furniture applications.
