Decca has a long-standing tradition of caring for our people and our natural environment, instituting sustainable practices as early as the 1980's. We are proud of the commitment we have made to promote a healthy, sustainable natural environment and view our environmental agenda as integral to our role not only as an industry leader but also a citizen of the world. As Decca has emerged in the global marketplace, we have also moved forward to become a truly sustainable corporation dedicated to economic, environmental and social equity.

Today, environmental responsibility is a core value in our corporate culture. As a leading manufacturer, we know that - like every business - we use a significant amount of raw materials and energy. We create waste. We contribute to the carbon footprint of the world's industries. But as a global business, we can step up to make a difference by building "green" principles into every new product. We can find new and better ways to use the natural resources that we require in an efficient and responsible matter. Through our Citizen Decca Program, we will continue to work to ensure that our products positively impact the environment and promote safe, healthy places to live, work and play.

We take concrete steps to put our values into action.

Going "green" at Decca means purchasing wood harvested from sustainable sources and using renewable energy wherever possible. It means minimizing waste, reducing emissions and providing a safe, healthy workplace for our employees. In fact, Decca is in the process of rethinking everything we do - from sourcing materials to product design to packaging and shipping. It's a big job - with its own risks and costs - but these initiatives are necessary to our future as a business and to our identity as a responsible citizen of the global community.

Green Achievements

On 13 January 2009, Decca was one of the earliest Asian-based manufacturers in the industry to receive GREENGUARD certification for our office furniture and hospitality furniture products. Decca's products were tested for their chemical emissions performance and were GREENGUARD Indoor Air Qualify Certified as low emitting furnishings. This achievement assured customers that Decca products could contribute points to fulfill the U.S. Green Building Council's LEEDTM rating system and the Green Building Initiative's Green Globes rating system.

Over the years, Decca has been dedicated to developing safe, eco-friendly products that meet rigorous environmental standards for customer well being and satisfaction. Today, Decca has achieved Indoor AdvantageTM Gold certification from SCS Global Services for its office seating, tables and casegoods.

Decca is also a manufacturer capable to produce FSCTM certified products, offering an advantage to those customers who seek a responsible manufacturing partner to help realize their own sustainable goals.
