Greenity Iwata was reborn through the reconstruction of the Iwata Grand Hotel, marking its 50th anniversary. Guided by the concept of “Grand Community,” the project reimagines how a beloved local landmark could evolve, creating a hotel that will walk alongside the community for the next century. The Iwatahara Plateau was opened as a public garden, and the hotel was designed to merge seamlessly with this landscape. Interiors, furniture, and lighting invite wind, greenery, and earth into the building, fostering a space where community naturally flourishes. While inheriting the symbolic staircase, bar counter, and chandeliers of the former Grand Hotel, these elements were reinterpreted in a contemporary way. Guest rooms extend the atmosphere of shared spaces, with art and fabrics created in collaboration with Enshū artisans.
