IT BEGAN WITH A BELIEF

In 1973, Decca’s founder, Mr. C. H. Tsang, expanded a modest millwork workshop with the belief that craft and technology could work in harmony. He saw that the knowledge of the artisan, supported by advanced equipment and disciplined production, could bring greater precision and possibility to furniture and interiors.
For more than five decades, this belief has guided Decca. What began as a workshop has grown into an international design and craft company serving residential, workplace, hospitality, retail and architectural projects across the Americas, Europe,
the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.
Our capabilities have evolved, but our purpose remains constant: to bring together material knowledge, technical precision and human skill to create spaces of lasting character.

1973

Decca was established by Mr. C. H. Tsang, Chairman and Managing Director, together with Mr. Edmund H. K. Liu, Deputy Chairman of the Group.

1982

Expanded manufacturing facilities in China enabled Decca to centralize operations and manufacture all wood components for architectural woodwork and furniture.

In the mid-1980s, Decca won large-scale hotel projects in China and Macau, and developed an ongoing relationship with Takashimaya.

1994

In the U.S., Decca entered into an agreement with HBF to manufacture office furniture for the Asian market on its behalf.

In the mid-1990s, Decca began to expand to Europe and the U.S., and opened its showrooms in Singapore and Beijing.

2000

Decca Ltd. was listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange following a financial restructuring to support expansion of the business and sales growth.

2001

Decca established its U.S. presence with the launch of Decca Hospitality, Bolier, and Decca Contract.

2007

In 2007, Decca strategically enhanced its operations by acquiring manufacturing facilities in Thailand.

Decca established showrooms in London and Paris.

Reflecting its commitment to quality, Decca received ISO 9000 certification.

2010

In addition to its New York and Shanghai showrooms, Decca expanded its presence by opening a showroom in Bangkok.

Decca was subsequently restructured and privatized, creating greater operational flexibility and management control to drive the company's future growth.

2014

Decca broadened its portfolio to meet growing demand for versatile lounge furniture across contract, residential, and hospitality sectors. It launched Decca Home to oversee the Rottet Home Collection, debuting Cosmopolitan, Inversion and The London Collection.

2019

Decca continued to partner with renowned designers to unveil a series of new collections, including The Southern Collection by Decca Home; Domicile New Edition by Bolier; and a refined series from Decca Contract: Ribbon, Skyward, Compass, Cloak, and Autodromo.

2026

As its journey continues, Decca eagerly anticipates the exceptional products and meaningful projects ahead. With optimism, Decca looks forward to the future and all the opportunities it holds.
